Quality and Quality Assurance Organization
Quality is a strategic issue in Safa Rolling & Pipe Mills Company. this company has established its policies according to the requirement of quality management system.
On this basis, QA unit has been organized in four independent sections:
- System and method engineering
- Quality control of raw materials
- Quality control of factories
- Laboratories
System and method engineering
In addition to implementation, establishment and maintenance of quality management system according to ISO 9001, ISO/TS 29001, and API Q1 SPEC 5L, the system and method engineering section is responsible for development management and updating other managerial and product standards used in other parts of the organization.
Some of the programs implemented in line with development of quality and product managerial system within the recent years include planning and implementation of quality management standard according to ISO/IEC 17025:2005, obtaining product certificates according to DIN EN 10219 and AWWA C200. At the present time, the organization is in the course of obtaining a national standard certificate for manufacturing urban gas supply pipes from the national competent authorities according to ISIRI 3574.

Enjoying experienced and expert staff, this section is responsible to prepare the specifications of raw and auxiliary materials for production according to the capability of production line to meet the demands of the clients. This section controls all raw and auxiliary materials upon arrival and before use by conducting the necessary tests and review of certificates.
Quality control divisions of pipe and coating factories
Enjoying experienced and expert staff and by using inspection equipment and NDT (visual test, ultrasonic and radiography tests, magnetic particle test, penetration test, types of paint and coating tests, etc.), this section can inspect the quality of products according to the agreed upon demands of the clients.
Laboratory section
Central laboratory of Safa Rolling & Pipe Mills Company has experienced and expert staff to evaluate the products and quality of raw materials. this section undertakes the assigned responsibilities.
This laboratory includes different sections such as chemistry and polymer laboratory, calibration laboratory, metallurgy laboratory, mechanical, corrosion and spectrophotometry laboratories.
